What is the registrar "whois"?
The registrar whois database is a searchable database maintained by registrars that
details networks, networking organizations, domain names and the contacts associated with them.
The whois database encompasses all .com, .net, .edu and ISO 3166 country code top-level domains.
Protocol information is also included. Protocols are a set of rules that
instruct an application how to access a resource. In this case the

Select "Whois Lookup" from the "Services Management" menu
of the Namestead control panel to run a
whois search. When prompted you should enter a fully qualified domain name

My credit card was declined - what do I do?
Unfortunately, there is very little Namestead administrators can do about declined credit card
transactions, because we do not handle our own billing.
PaySystems is the authorized payment processor for Namestead.
If you card is declined, you must resolve the matter by contacting PaySystems by phone or email.
Contact details for PaySystems are located on the PaySystems web site (https://cardholder.paysystems.com/).
Be sure to resolve payment issues promptly to avoid service interruptions.
Declined credit card transactions which remain unresolved will result in
suspension of services.
First-time purchases
One of the most common reasons for declined credit card transactions (for first
time purchases) is inconsistent or incorrect billing details. To avoid this
problem, ensure that the name and address you provide on the payment form are exactly
the same as the card holder's billing name and address.
These details are used for security checking. Bogus or invalid data
causes the transaction to be declined.
Recurring Transactions
For recurring transactions, you need to also contact PaySystems, but you may
also need to contact your credit card company about any of the following:
- available credit balance
- card expiration date
- restrictions for online purchases
